HTTM Aftermath & Chicken Nuggets

The average suburban parent following HS sports probably attributes hard work and dedication as necessary keys to success, like committing to swim the 12 Days of Christmas. However, to the actual people in the know, you've got to also balance it out with R&R like HTTM retreats...

Congratulations to the Kamiak swim team, on another undefeated swim season. Especially to senior Chris Choi, who is also the reigning HTTM Recoup Champion. Good luck at Districts and State!

This brings up another question. Specifically to Papa Ventoux or 1st Class. Apparently Chris Choi chowed down 40 chicken nuggets after the meet. Then barfed. Mi Yong swears that in my heyday that was nothing for me. But I disagree. I remember being more of a distance eater. Like 20 nuggets for lunch and 20 for dinner for like 6 months straight. All I know for sure is that I would never have thrown up. That's a waste of nuggets.

Clifford and the 40 Bagel

Yes, it’s a homemade bagel baked by Papa Ventoux in honor of my entry into the Masters age group. Tucked between mile markers 43 & 44 in Rhododendron OR was a winter wonderland

HTTM was complete with polar bears and Tabasco sauce , perfect glasses of scotch, fireside chess where neither person really knows how to play (or cares),
bike assembly and disassembly class,

a real hot tub time machine, and even a card game with the Professional and the Kamiak swim team.

Was Davey ever surprised to find he wasn’t the only 2-wheeler in the Kabin, meet Clifford the (big red) Commuter, aka "SUPER Le Tour",
complete with Monkey Lights

Thanks guys, this really was the best birthday ever.
