fURf - Face your Fuckiness.

Get a job. Change your job. Keep your job. Quit your job. Replace 'job' with any meaningful word, like um fuckiness. Just face it. I gotta face I suck at expressing myself in words. (Skirtsteak, I read all those articles you sent, and I prefer the word Opt Out over quit)...

This monthly challenge done right will be hard. Very hard. Yet, you'll know if you are doing it properly, fully, if at the end of the day you feel you ain't alone. It's not impossible.

Challenge Update

One consecutive month logged.

Crash and I rode Whidbey last weekend. We were feeling sluggish. It hailed on us. Then it rained. My right shifter broke (off) and I was stuck in a single cog for the remainder of the ride. Crash cramped up and couldn't climb anymore.

We had a fantastic time, have missed cycling with y'all and can't wait to get back out next week.

Challenge

Trail Running. With Gerald. Or more accurately trail walking (me, not Gerald). On Whidbey Island. Deception Pass State Park. That was the single most significant event for me over the past 1.5 years. Thanks Gerald...

What did I learn? Life is a contact sport. So I will extend my learning...

Guth. You remind me of a basketball player dying to scrimmage during practice. Screw conditioning drills. Screw weights. Screw fundamentals. Let's play. Okay, I agree (to a certain extent).

I'm putting out a challenge to see how many consecutive months one can bike Whidbey Island. So for 2012, looks like we've got 9 more days to get one on the books this month. Next weekend ferry departs Mukilteo at 7am...
