Oh Tacoma!

Congrats to theGuth who just completed his very first 20 mile run! Great job. Gerald & Crash were there too, but today was really about Guthrie joining the 20 mile club, and also experiencing the beautiful surroundings that only Tacoma, WA has to offer.  Again, great job, and just remember that in the marathon, they call the 20 mile mark the halfway point!  Keep up the great training.

  1. I woke up this morning expecting a morning of running at my own pace, ears plugged into reliving last night's Glasvegas concert (worth checking out) while Crash and Gerald took off to run their inhuman distances up ahead.

But that's not what happened. We stuck together, or they stuck by me, and we ran, and ran. We ran so far.

Now the entire lower half of my body is just dull pain. joints, muscles, skin even. ugh. I don't think I've ever exerted myself at this level. Way harder than half marathon training last year, way harder than my first century ride.

But thanks, you two (I think?). I never would have kept going without you telling that I got no choice.

  2. Strong work Guth. You will break 4:00 in Tacoma. You just need new kicks and some Ranger Candy. And Crash, NICE PHOTO of the Tacoma Dome (Ode to Jay).
